Rewilding Candelaria Nature Preserve
Using healthy soil principles, no-till methods, and native riparian and upland habitat protections, Ciudad Soil and Water Conservation District has partnered with the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division and Rio Grande Return to restore 90 acres of former farmland in the North Valley to a mosaic of habitats that will support a diversity of native wildlife.
